Quality Control Technician (Final Inspector)

Apollo Optical Systems is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician at Apollo Optical you will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to delivering top-notch products to our valued customers.

The QA Inspector performs inspections and completes required documentation per Apollo Optical Systems quality plans. The QA Inspector completes final inspection, as well as other inspections as assigned.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Final Inspection based on company policies and procedures

  • Visually inspect parts

  • Use hand gauges to measure parts as required

  • Complete required QA paperwork

  • Write DMRs (Discrepant Material Reports) and assist in Hold Shelf Inventory Maintenance

  • Operate Mold Machines (fill in breaks when necessary)

  • Perform Material Handling duties when required

  • Complete required production information (routers, lot numbers, etc.)

  • Follow Company required documentation and ISO 9001 quality system requirements.

  • Perform QC Inspector duties as needed (see FM-167 for full description)

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or Equivalent

  • Ability to effectively organize time

  • Good computer skills

  • Able to use hand gauges

  • Previous experience with optics a plus
