Founded through a management buyout from Corning's Rochester Photonics division, Apollo Optical Systems carries forward a legacy of optical innovation that began at the University of Rochester's Institute of Optics in 1989. We manufacture precision optical components and assemblies for defense and aviation systems, including lightweight diffractive optics, precision polymer lenses, optical coatings, and complex multi-element assemblies designed to meet military specifications.
