Apollo Optical Systems brings a long heritage of precision optics to medical device design and development. Our story began with Rochester Photonics Corporation, founded in 1989 as a University of Rochester Institute of Optics spin-off focused on bringing diffractive and micro-optics into commercial use. Following a management buyout, Apollo Optical Systems was created on December 31, 2002. Today, our Rochester, NY facility brings design, machining, polymer injection molding, coating, assembly, and metrology resources together to help customers address complex optical requirements. We work with medical and life-science teams that need thoughtful engineering, practical manufacturability, and dependable pathways to scale. The goal is straightforward: deliver precision polymer optics and proven partnership for demanding applications.
